A little about me:

I'm 32 & married to the most amazing man, Eddie who is 30. I have a 14 year old daughter from a previous relationship (although Eddie has been her Dad since she was 6). I was 17 when I had her. Eddie and I were married in November 2012 and are now expecting a son in October 2014! We had a bit of a journey for one year trying to conceive our son - I'm sure that someday I will share all of our trials, but for now I'm just going to bask in the joy that we are able to have a child!
It has been 14 years since I have experienced pregnancy and raising a baby so it kind of feels like the first time all over again.

Glitter Pinecones!

I just thought of this! *well, the pinecone/branch/tealight part*

{I am stealing my friend Jordan's idea here, but tweaking it a little.}

 For centerpieces, I want to spray glitter on pinecones - and fill up a vase with them - I was thinking I could put my white spray painted branches in the vase and hang tealights from them :-) I am going to go to the craft store at some point to try it out - I will post pics later :-)

{Silver Bells}... oh how I {love} LLD's blog!

Lovely Little Details {http://lovelylittledetails.com/2011/12/21/egg-carton-bell-garland/} has got to be the best blog for all of the {little details} on your big day ~ I am obsessed with it!!

Today, I was looking at LLD's newest post, and they are featuring these amazing DIY gold "bells"! I am so excited to make these, as silver bells for my wedding!

Now, I just need to start saving some egg cartons ;)

Anyways, here is the post: {or you can click on the link above}

Here’s what you need:Empty egg cartons
Gold spray paint
Box cutter or Xacto knife
Pretty string – I chose a teal multi-tie raffia from World Market because I thought it would really make the gold pop
Plastic gloves*
Instructions:1. Cut the egg-holder side off of the egg carton and discard the other half.
2. Spray paint both sides of the egg cartons using your color of choice. I used an old wine box to prop the cartons while each side dried.

3. Once dry, use your box cutter to cut out each “bell”.
4. Create a loop on the bottom of your string for easy hanging. Cut the string to your desired length and tie a tiny knot at the opposite end to make it easier to get through the bottom of each “bell”.
5. Cut an “X” at the bottom of each “bell”.
6. String the bells on to your garland! Hang and enjoy!
Other uses:
Wedding/holiday party photobooth backdrop (hang multiple strings next to each other)
Christmas tree garland
Ceremony backdrop

AMAZING! <3 Simple, and beautiful :-)

fun with mason jars

http://www.stylemepretty.com/new-york-weddings/2011/11/17/north-fork-wedding-by-adam-piorkowski/

I love the use of mason jars, all sizes, placed randomly... I can't wait to start making my mason jar lights with lace :o)

I also saw something very neat on Q13 news this morning, stacks of wheat tied together with ribbon ~ there were even some examples of some spray painted gold... I am so stealing that idea as well :o)

I will also be using my hollowed white pumpkins {some spray painted} filled with succulents and cabbage, and some whole white pumpkins with E+K engraved in them with nails :o)

Soooo very excited!!!!

{Little White Church on the Hill} Silvana, WA

A {dream} location - this spot makes both of us smile :)

Thank you's :)

I just had a fun idea :) I need to post it on here so I will not forget later (this happens all the time)...

I am going to use apples (of different colors), pears or mini pumpkins as favors for the guests at the wedding. I am also going to tie tags with "thank you" handwritten on them to the stems of the different favors. I am also thinking I can use these as some type of decoration.

I LOVE Fall! I can't wait for 1 year from now :)

Also, I think we may have found our venue ;)

Could be fun, right?

Wouldn't this be an easy DIY you could do with any fun Washi tape?

(Images Via + Via)

Add a little punch to your ordinary vases. Seriously, do it.

Sometimes, Martha keeps it simple.

How cute would this be for a cake banner?!!

I'm completely twitterpated with that door.

"Sembazuru"

The ancient practice of a man and woman folding 1,000 cranes for their wedding is called sembazuru. The tradition itself is called Tsuru wa sennen. The time and energy put into the thousand hand-folded origami cranes symbolized the patience and trust necessary to sustain a happy marriage. A couple who could weather the long, time intensive folding process together, supporting each other, talking with each other for weeks while taking on a challenging task was proving their ability to maintain a long term, content relationship.
I wonder how Eddie is going to feel when I tell him we HAVE to do this?! Better get a pizza and some beer to help win him over ;-) I am personally excited for this challenge, and it is so romantic... <3

I have a feeling that 1000 might turn into 100 :)

{invites}

I am thinking of making my own invites... not all from scratch BUT designing them and than printing them off.... fun? Yes! :)

I really like these invites {featured on The Knotty Bride ::Milk and Honey themed DIY wedding::}

Obviously our wedding invites would look a little different, but these are still so cute anyways :)

Kids Table :)

I found a new site that I am addicted to! stumbleupon.com, check it out BUT don't hate me for it when you realize you have been "stumbling" for over 2 hours....

Anyways, thanks to my new addiction I found this great idea for a kids activity table at the wedding! {Isn't that cute?}

There was a GREAT idea under the DIY section for "melted crayons"... ((this looks so cool!))

I am copying in their directions {mostly so I will remember a year from now}

You will need:
  • crayons in a variety of colors
  • mini-muffin pan (Don’t plan on using this again for anything edible. I got mine at a second-hand store for next to nothing.)
Preheat oven to 250 degrees
Remove paper from crayons and break them into into smallish pieces. Place inside muffin pan. Have fun coming up with interesting colour combos.
diy wedding favors
kids party favors diy
Place tin in oven until crayons melt. (About 15 mins.)
diy party favors
Remove tray from oven. Let cool for a few minutes, then pop into the freezer until they harden.
homemade crayons
Place muffin tin on counter, turn it over and pop out the pucks. They should fall out easily. Aren’t they gorgeous little works of art?

I am soooo excited to set this up with white butcher paper :) I can't wait to find more ideas...

ANYWAYS...
Yesterday I put together my bridesmaid invitation gift-boxes, I can't wait to post pics! BUT it's still a surprise soooo wait I must ;)
I wish we were getting married tomorrow :o)

I can't wait to start dress shopping {in person} but for now here are some styles I love <3
